50 YEARS OF ROLLING STONES: A ROCK & ROLL RESTROSPECTIVE...

Just a quick update to let you know that I will be performing this Thursday, May 3rd for the opening night of 50 Years of Rolling Stones Photography Exhibit!  Here is a little write-up from the Analogue Gallery website:

Celebrating 50 years of The Rolling Stones, Analogue Gallery presents a retrospective of stunning images from some of rock and roll’s finest photographers.

Included is Philip Townsend’s early image of a young, boyish-looking group photographed along the banks of the Thames, renowned photographs by Barrie Wentzell and Ken Regan that document the band’s rise to success in the 1960s and 1970s, and present-day portraits by Lynn Goldsmith. This exhibition uniquely depicts one of music’s most legendary acts through both famous and rarely-seen photos spanning their incredible 50-year career.

The exhibit will run from May 3-June 3 as part of the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival

LIVE MUSIC INVITATION | December 6th | Rancho Relaxo

Hi Friends,

Hope you are well! I would like to invite you to my next live music performance taking place:
Tuesday, December 6th at Rancho Relaxo, 9 PM.

I expect this will be a very special night as The Brothers Elliott and I have been invited to open for a Calgary based band called Raleigh. I am super excited to welcome this Alberta trio like a warm chinook wind!

Raleigh Biography
Raleigh is the labour of love of Calgary based musicians Brock Geiger (of The Dudes & Dojo Workhorse), Matt Doherty (of Axis of Conversation & This City Defects) and Clea Anaïs (of the Consonant C & Dojo Workhorse). The collaboration between Geiger and Anaïs dates back to 2009, playing on each others' solo records and touring across Canada. Each of them have won Calgary Folk Festival Songwriting Contest prizes and have also been featured in the Trans Canada Alberta Songwriters Series. The addition of Doherty on drums in the winter of 2010 added a new dimension to the already intriguing nuances created by Anaïs and Geiger's melodically driven, folk-minded songs.

If you can make it, we will be so glad to see you!

Best,
Holly
